<p>You have great stats! I can see that you have interests in math and scientific research and overall your extracurriculars tie into those two areas, but there are some other activities that seem a bit out of place. If you tie everything together in a cohesive essay, I think you have a good chance. Btw, I’m Korean girl too. :slight_smile: But I’m a sophomore this year.</p>

<p>You have excellent stats. My question: if you’re #25 with those kind of outstanding stats, what are those 24 other ppl like? If you feel they’re as good or better than you, I’d put high-reach for Princeton, Harvard, Stanfrod, and mid-reach to Yale SCEA.</p>

<p>i took a lot of courses early, like taking English 10 freshman year, also, i took the hardest class in our school, honors physics, last year, getting and A-. that brought my gpa down compared to those who took non-honors classes and took them in their respective grades… so, i think i have more of a chance than them.</p>

<p>no offense, but I feel like using a near-to-death sibling as a hook is kind of morally awful. ^^
um, lets see. perfect test scores. not as many APs as other people…and you ARE the stereotypical asian applicant with math/science awards. you have a higher shot than most applicants</p>

<p>^i do take offense at that. my family and i have gone through a lot of hardship with him, and i honestly got the inspiration for my future career and life goal because of those experiences. A little out of line there. :P</p>

<p>You won’t need 15 schools. You have a pretty decent chance in every one of them.</p>

<p>Looking good…great ACT, SAT 2s, and research. Only thing that might hurt a little is class rank and dearth of leadership in ECs…but you are very, very solid overall!</p>

<p>Couple other things. FIrst, you dont need this many schools. Rice, emory, UVA, UNC, Washu, carnegie, etc are all schools that will b easy admits for you…just pick a few of those.</p>
