<p>hooks: multiracial (japanese/hispanic) & participated in a 3 year science research program with college professors where we conducted graduate level research and my paper is in the publishing stages</p>

<p>Your GPA seems a little low if that is weighted. But SATs and APs look good as long as you scored good on the exams. Class rank is competitive, and if your recommendations are as good as you say that should help a lot. I would play up that research program you were in…NYU loves their research. </p>
