Chances at acceptance and scholarships

<p>I’ve been reading chance threads on this site for a few months now and everyone seems so smart and involved. Well, I’ve done little outside of the classroom at my school and I’m afraid that might hurt my chances at getting accepted to some schools. Anyways, here it goes:</p>

<p>School: Catholic high school in Iowa
GPA: 3.9 (upward trend since freshmen year including 4.06 junior year)
Class Rank: ~50 out of ~325
ACT: 30
SAT: don’t plan on taking
Curriculum: numerous “Advanced” classes and two APs (AP Lang & Comp and AP Lit & Comp)
ECs: [Weak, I know] School Newspaper and JV soccer for 2 years, Freshmen basketball for what it’s worth, and 100 hours of “Christian” Service as required by the school (basically just community service)</p>
