I say you have a very good resume. I think you have a shot at the ivies. Youre ECs are what stands out. List some of the colleges you’re into so we can tell you exactly WHERE you have a chance at.
chance a fellow Ivy hopeful?

Wow, nice scores and strong ECs. I think that as long as you write good essays and get good recs, you’re pretty much set for the lower-level Ivies (i.e. not HYP, which are reaches for almost anyone). Try for those, too, though, if you want.

Chance back, please?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/707610-please-chance-me-ive-never-done-before.html

do you think my rank is too low…

Your rank doesn’t put you out of the running but won’t help. Even at the ‘lower’ ivies, most unhooked students are at the very top of their class. It does help a little if the top kids at your school are not applying to the same colleges you are.

With the mid tier ivies taking 11 and 13 percent this year, they are now in the category that used to be reserved for HYPS–the vast majority of highly qualified kids are rejected. Especially those from overrepresented states which CA is.

First, I’d raise the CR score which is under median at the mid tiers. Then focus on getting great recs and writing great essays.

so how are my ec’s? anything special?
