Chances at Case??? PLEASE!

<p>So here are the facts. I am a rising senior and am currently beginning the application process. </p>

<p>-ACT: 31
English 34
Math 31
Reading 32
Science 27
-SAT: not submitting </p>

<p>-GPA: 4.268 weighted, 4.0 unweighted</p>

<p>-Rank: we don’t rank but top 5-10% of 150 (small, competitive catholic school)</p>

<p>APs: Chem (5), US History (5)
Will take: Calc BC, Physics C Mech., Psych, Spanish (possibly)</p>

<p>At my school you are only allowed to take a max of 4 honors classes and freshman year you have no choice of courses. Sophomore year I took Honors Chem and Honors Geometry, the only honors classes offered at that level. Junior year I had 4 honors: AP US History, Honors AlgebraII/Trig, AP Chem, ACC Spanish III. Senior year my honors are the APs I will take. I am taking the hardest courses possible. </p>

<p>ECs, Awards, Other

  • NHS (11-12th grade)-- 10 hours of service per semester required
  • XC (9-12; 110% award freshman year)
  • Swimming (9-12; varsity 3 years; 110% award junior year)
  • Track (9-12)
    -6 week scientific research program through a university in which had to write a research paper
    -40 hours required service
  • Co Chair of Freshman Trivia Night
  • Service Saturdays
  • ECHO (Exploring careers in health occupations) Club (11-12; secretary 12th grade)
  • Spanish Club (9-12)
    -Smith College Book Award (11)
    -babysit
    (I know, could be better)</p>

<p>Can I get into Case Western???

<p>Case Wastern should honestly not be much of a problem for you to get in. Apply to other schools, but Case Western is well within your range.</p>

<p>Thansk. I am applying to other schools as well. I want to apply to places such as Rice though i know they will be a reach. I hope to get my ACT score up a few points</p>
