I was a senator this year but held no office in 9th nor 10th grade. Do you think colleges will even know the difference between Execeutive Officer and Governor? thanks

I imagine that most college admissions will not knock you off for not winning an election. They do not know the responsiblities of the position. All they know is that you participated and you are involved. Evidently you have a passion for involvement in this organization. I hope that you will channel this energy into writing a college admissions essay describing your involvement in the organization. Please do not be discouraged, nor be upset when I tell you this is a silly question.

you’re an egotistical moron who thinks that people should give you the position simply because you want it on your college app (true statement, im not being mean)

I don’t understand why student council elections have anything to do with getting into college.

shows that you have leadership and are likable to your peers.

EE33EE, first of all F u, second of all, i take that back, i was pretty angry about an hour ago but i gues it deosnt matter any more, its not that i wanted to soleyl for my app, i actually enjoyed bein a part of it, thats what bugs me is that i was involved and didnt win and those who took their position with no regard for involemnt were the ones who won

Look, life is a popularity contest. I’m not going to lie to you, I felt entitled this year to a number of leadership positions that I straight up did not win. And I was so bitter about it for a couple of hours. But the truth is, none of us are really entitled to anything. That isn’t supposed to make you feel better, but know that they got this one and that later, you’ll get something else.

Like people said, the most important thing is that you feel you’ve worked hard in this and accomplished something (you have.); the extra line on the resume means little. Hope you feel better soon. :-)

haha i was over it in like an hour, i realized how stupid i was being and there was no need to be in a bad demeaner for my sat today, which i think hopefully i did good on
