Chances at Duke regular deadline?

<p>I’m a half-egyptian male (im pretty sure this still counts as white), catholic.
-junior this year
-4.0 Unweighted
-1 out of 400ish (indiana public school)
-2400 superscore (2280+2330)
-800 chem and math II subject tests.
-5s on Chem, WH, and Calc AP tests (taking BC, bio, eng comp, and US history this spring)
-Eagle scout, NHS, youth group, youth grant committee, JV tennis (4 years), won national science bowl in '07 (dont think this counts as it was in middle school), lots of science/math competitions, lifeguard in the summer.</p>

<p>i know my resume is pretty good but several students i know personally have been strong as well and been rejected straight out. </p>

<p>remember that Duke got almost 25,000 THOUSAND applications for the current class, alone. You need to find a way to make yourself stand out from the OTHER 1,499 high school valedictorians that will apply to Duke this year. Are you an accomplished musician? Possess a particular talent? Play in a rock band? Thought up a particular community service project that impacts that community in a unique way and can continue after you graduate from your high school? </p>

<p>Duke is looking for smart kids who are passionate about something (outside academics). Dude everyone around here is world-class on the academic meter; question is what are you passionate about and what have you done about it.</p>
