Hi! So I am an online schooled high school student. Because I was a competitive figure skater for 10 years, I did not have time to go to public school. If my unweighted GPA is a 3.5-3.6, ACT 31, and i have over 100 hours of volunteer work along with figure skating, what are my chances of getting into LMU as an ED?
LMU is not a school that relies heavily on ED. According to the latest CDS, the overall acceptance rate for Fall 2017 was 52.5%. The ED acceptance rate was only slightly higher, at 59.0%.
Your ACT is at the upper end of the enrolled student range at LMU (26-31). Your GPA seems low, but my guess is that they will take your unconventional online schooling into account, and that your ACT score and interesting background in figure skating will compensate. So you most likely get in, whether you apply ED or RD. But that’s just a guess.
