Chances at ED?

Basically, I have utterly fantabulous test scores but merely OK extracurriculars:

94.4? average at Stuyvesant (NYC)

Soph year (I’m omitting non-advanced stuff):
BC Calc
AB Comp Sci
AP US History
Honors Precalc

Junior year:
AP Gov (both)
AP Eng Lang
AP Physics B
Dynamics
Multivariate Calc
Systems-level programming, Computer Graphics

Senior year:
Organic Chemistry
Statics
Great Books (real hard english class)
Existentialism
AP Macro/Microeconomics
AP Latin Vergil
Number theory course at NYU
Intel CS project (almost certainly not semi-finalist)

APs: 5’s on the above (except senior year courses, natch), plus 5’s on Physics C and Euro.

SAT: 2400
SATII: Chem, Physics, US History, World History, Math IIC 800; Lit 790; Bio 760

ECs/Awards: Copy Chief of paper; going to teach classes so that the unwashed heathens can learn to write well
Extemp+Congress, head of Congress team, qualified for NFLs (couldn’t go due to scheduling conflict) and CFLs
Acting, various shows, occasional tech crew
Interned at Morgan Stanley last year
Quiz Bowl
JETS (engineering competition, I think my team was 6th in the nation)
National Merit Semi-Finalist

Thoughts?

Your academic record is impeccable, but I guess you already know that. I think your ECs will be fine. Just emphasize some impressive ones - like that Morgan Stanley internship xP! It seems like NYC people have so many more opportunities. Nothing is available here…

only stuyvesant, bronx science, towsend harris and rich prep kids in nyc are offered decent education. the nyc department of education underfinances schools like mine

Pyroclastic you have absolutely NO chance at Princeton!

Just Kidding!   Sorry! You seem like a strong applicant! Go NYC!! I used to live there! Red Sox in Boston SUCK! Go Yankees!

polish, where do you go? Even with my Stuy pride I’d call Brooklyn Tech, HUnter and LaGuardia pretty good, and the four new specialized schools are up-and-coming. Then there are Bard, Museum School, and the dozen-odd decent regional publics. It could be worse.

I attend High School for Environmental Studies. I had a chance to go to that new Lehman Spec. HS, but realized that being in the first graduating class at a new HS is not such a good idea.
I like my school mainly because of it’s demographics, but no one from my school had ever APPLIED to Princeton, lol. It’s really overcrowded and if there was a fire, we would all be bottlenecked in narrow school doors.
The administration is so ridiculous. It restricts the no. of AP courses that can be taken annually to 3 (I take 4, ignore them lol).
I really hope that coming from a ridiculous school won’t hurt my chances at ED.
