I’ll also be sending in some creative work in advertising and photography to Emerson. Thanks.

Your stats are basically similar to mine…except I haven’t taken any of the SAT IIs yet, I also don’t have as many ECs as you do…but I have the same amount of AP classes that you’re taking, and my SAT is a 1350 (it all kinda evens out). So…here’s what I say, don’t take my word completely, but you’re a good candidate :
Emerson: match
Boston University: reach/match-not quite sure, looking into that school also…you’ll probably make it in
Northeaster: Safety probably/match
No idea about Fordham. Sorry about NYU.

That essay is terrible. Absolutely. Positively.

I’m 99.9% sure that’s what cost you admission to NYU.

Rewrite it.

Thaaaanks. What’s wrong with it?

Yea, that essay was kind’ve…not good.

It sounded like you wrote an essay, and then used a thesaurus to find abstract words that sounded intellectual. It was like a chore to read, not fun at all. That’s just me though.

Actually, the topic was wonderful and could really tell a lot about your life. I’m afraid you’ve misused many words. You appear to try too hard to use a sophisticated vocabulary. Just tell your story as you would speak it. Good luck!

The topic seemed completely buried beneath a mountain of superfluous and misused verbiage. It might be a swell idea, but you’re trying to hard and it shows – painfully.

ex: “The alleviation of my eyes”?
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=alleviation%20

ex: “However, I feel that I’ve accelerated my maturity in the hands of the fourteen entities I work with.”

Entities?

Try “people” or “individuals” or “men and women.”

Kirmum’s right, ultimately. Just tell the story as you’d speak it.

Okay. I wasn’t trying to sound like a smartass. Guess it came off that way.

Thank y’all.
