Chances at Gallatin, Emory, and Wellesley?

Hey, I’m applying to transfer from a CC – I have a 3.6 and 2330/2400. My only real EC is my job – I work for Kaplan, but only part-time. Do I have a shot at NYU (Gallatin), Emory, or Wellesley?

I’d really like to go to NYU; the whole designing-my-own-program at Gallatin appeals to me. But would I have a better chance of being admitted if I applied to CAS?

Another splitter! (By CC standards, haha)

Not sure about Emory and Wellesley, but I know someone who transferred into Gallatin with a less-than-stellar GPA – so I’d guess that it’s the writing contained in your application that holds a pretty heavy weight in admissions. As a result, I’m not sure if numbers are enough to say how good your chances there are, though yours certainly aren’t weak. I think it’s really important that you make sure your essays are very strong.

Also, if it’s “the whole designing-[your]-own-program at Gallatin” that you like, why would you apply to CAS?
