Chances at getting into JHU for 2012?

<p>I want to know whether I have a good chance at getting into JHU as I don’t think I can make a good Ivy school and believe JHU to be one of my top choices.</p>

<p>My stats are
SAT: 2320
ACT: 36
gpa: 4.0, 4.24W
-freshman year performed piano in Carnegie Hall
-won world piano competition level 10 in 2008
-attended people to people leadership forum 2009
-cancer laboratory student for 100+hrs in 2010
-qualified for national chemistry Olympiad (2011)
-1st place states senior division for future problem solvers international(FPSI)
-qualifier for FPSI international conference
-will have neurology research this summer(estimated 225hrs+), enter project in siemens
all club years will include senior yr(unfortunately I did not join most clubs until sophomore year)
-Chinese club 3yrs (most likely president next year)
-FPSI club 3yrs (possibly president next year)
-Project LEAD 3yrs (volunteer, generally teacher help)
-diversity project 2yrs
-founder and president of a people to people international student chapter 2yrs
-volunteer at nursing home 1yr
-national honor society 2yrs
-water polo team 4yrs (captain next year)</p>

<p>i was wondering if I have a good chance with what I have.</p>

<p>You have very impressive stats, but keep in mind that many students who apply to JHU may have the same ones that you have. The only way to possibly stand out is to express your passion in your personal statement. Teacher and counselor recs are also very important. BTW, have you taken any SAT Subject Tests/AP Exams yet? JHU strongly recommends its applicants to submit three of their Subject Test scores. AP Exams also boost up your application. Keep up the good work, and I strongly advise you to take at least three Subject Tests with scores of 750+ to keep up with JHU’s suggestions.</p>

<p>I would say you’re in, as your stats are really good. The only thing that might hold you back is your GPA, so if it’s possible, try to increase it.
