Chances at Getting into pitt with a 1550 and a 3.4 GPA

Also chances at honors college?

Where?

University of Pittsburg

Pitt accepted around 50% of its applicants this past year. It’s not a competitive school to get into, and your SAT score is fabulous. I don’t know anything about the honors program, but unless you screw up the essay, you should have no problem getting in.

SAT’s are great, the GPA takes you out of Honors and Scholarship potential though.

Pitt is going to be significantly tougher than high school. A 1550 SAT plus a 3.4 GPA suggests that you would probably benefit from working on your study skills and study habits before you show up at university. There are however quite a few students who do precisely this, and find themselves much more motivated in university. Good luck with this.

Hello!

You may find our 2017 Class Profile helpful: https://oafa.pitt.edu/explore/class-profile/

And you can find information about our University Scholarships here: https://oafa.pitt.edu/financialaid/academic-scholarships/

Also, our Honors College is not membership-only (you are not accepted to the college). Students have a lot of freedom to choose their level of involvement in the honors college. You can learn more about how that works and what the Honors College has to offer here: http://www.honorscollege.pitt.edu/about

In order to be automatically eligible to enroll in honors courses, you do need to meet some minimum requirements: http://www.honorscollege.pitt.edu/course-eligibility

Hope this helps!
