Make sure you are applying to some safeties. These schools are all unpredictable and a 2400 isnt everything. You have a great shot, but nothing is guaranteed.

It’s beyond awesome that you’re a published author…but who did the publishing? Did you actually get them published by national companies, or on vanity presses? Books published through vanity presses aren’t nearly as impressive as books published nationally, which could hurt your odds a bit.

*im also indian-american, ive heard that actually works against you because there are supposedly alot of indians at IV league schools. And also a couple of my friends who are indian, and have better GPA’s than me got rejected last year…

do you think i can still get into any top schools even though im not in top 10% (almost) and has a very poor sophomore fall semester grade (including one failing grade) BUT has a perfect SAT and SAT II scores and some very impressive extracurriculars and achievements?? i can also whip up fantastic essays and can definitely get excellent recommendations

I’m sorry how could you get a 2400 on SAT II. Did you mean that your scored 800 on three individual tests? Anyway, the fact that your published several articles and books is very impressive. I find it odd that you got a 2400 but only managed a mere National Merit Commended Scholar, quite an odd leap I would say. Normally PSAT and SAT score tend to somewhat be in the same ballpark. Besides that everything is in order and I think you will definitely be highly sought after from the schools on your list.

Jason4444, I’m very curious about those books. What are they about & what are they called? If they are doing well in the market, then I must say you are in all of these schools 100%. Good luck! :).
