I am a Harvard alum.
My hope for Kerron is that the Harvard adcoms see his posts on the various CC boards. It may be hard for Kerron to imagine, but adcoms at Harvard are not looking to accept people who seem to have an overabundance of conceit while having a dearth of compassion and empathy.

Harvard annually gets 20,000 applicants, most of whom qualify for admission. These include excellent URMs. There’s no reason for Harvard to bother accepting someone who acts in an obnoxious way.

Fortunately, Kerron has posted enough information about himself here that the adcoms should find it very easy to identify him.

oooooooooouch :(

I second that ouch…btw how do you do the little faces? All I can do are these: :-(

Skip the nose and it should work. No sad faces here though…I’d be quite satisfied if there were Adcoms lurking on here to see just what kind of person Kerron is.

northstarmom do you think adcoms take a look at CC to get a better picture of their applicants? it’s a pretty good idea to get to know what the person’s really like lol

I’m sure it is really, really unlikely that Kerron has done this, but he could have posted another person’s stats and then acted like a jerk.

Probably he didn’t, sure, but someone who sees these messages about lurking Adcoms forming opinions about applicants on CC might try it in the future.

I mean, I think Kerron deserves a rejection just as much as the next person, but based upon something he posted here? That’s just too flimsy a reason.

It would be a very sneaky tactic if they did check out these boards, but I really doubt they do. Plus, they could never know for sure who is really posting with someone’s username. It could be a totally different person than the one who applied. It would not be fair to use this information as a guide even if someone totally exposed his identity.

On another note, although I am offended by what Kerron has said because it represents Christians, URMs, and Harvard applicants in a poor light, I would never wish ill on him. That’s kind of hypocritical, don’t you think? He will surely learn in time that there is a thin line between confidence and arrogance. Someone who is truly confident does not need to put down others; that lack of respect actually suggests an insecurity within oneself.

Kerron, compassion is just as much a virtue as confidence is. Being a Christian, you ought to know the importance of love for others, right?

yeah…maybe some schemer from kerron’s school is sabotaging him by acting like an idiot on the cc forums and hoping that adcoms see it. what do you have to say about that, northstarmom??

DJ_Mack, being nonchristian, I guess I don’t know the importance of having love for others?

Folks…let’s close the Kerron debate. He’s going to be away for a while it seems.
