Chances at Ivies, BU, U of Wisconsin-Madison?

Greetings. I’ve applied to all of the following schools and I’m wondering about my chances. My schools are:

Columbia, Harvard, Cornell, University of Wisconsin-Madison, Boston University, Rutgers (Cook as well)

I’m already in at Rutgers with $4,500 a year merit award. How are my chances at the other schools?

My essays have been deemed by the 4 CCers that read them very good, so that should be good. I’ve read two of my three recommendation letters and they portray me perfectly. I also got to look at the teacher evaluation grid-in areas and I got Top 5% for the dedication/motivation/class participation areas (my science teacher put "one of best I have ever experienced for motivation to columbia) and Top 10% for all academic areas (class performance, etc.).

I’m thinking I’m a shoo-in at University of Wisconsin-Madison, considering I’m from NJ and they probably don’t get too too many people from NJ there. I’m thinking I’m good for BU as well. Out of the Ivies, I basically have come to the idea that I have a snowball’s chance in hell at Harvard, considering my 1530/800/800/800 5.3 w gpa 1/77 rank eagle scout classmate got deferred EA. Columbia I’d say I have at worst a 30% chance of getting in and maybe 50% at uber best. Not really sure about Cornell. What you guys think?

11 views and no comments? I guess it’s late but I’m sure there are some stragglers here!

You’re right about BU. I’d say you’re in there.

bumpity bump

BU and Wisconsin both seem realistic.

to be honest i kinda know that BU and wisconsin seem realistic. I really posted this for comments on my chances at one of the three Ivies i put…

Uhh…nice attitude towards people who are trying to help you

To be honest, you shouldn’t have put down BU and Wisconsin if you didn’t want comments on them…Moving on…You most likely will not get into Harvard. You can apply to Columbia and Cornell, you have a shot, not a great one, though.

Harvard is practically impossible. Columbia is highly unlikely. Cornell is a reach. Wisconsin and BU are matches.
