Ivies at academic index of 225 for engineering international students?
Please somebody reply.
Nobody can base your chances on stats alone. Just know that international competition is very tough and generally requires a 3.8+ GPA and a 2250+ SAT for unhooked applicants.
The AI isn’t the sole determinator of whether or not you will get in. Extracurriculars are vastly important as well.
AI does not mean anything
Nobody can chance you for top 15 colleges.
“engineering international students”???
Why Ivy if you want to study engineering?
AI is not enough! Although yours is high, if the rest of your application is not as compelling (Essay, EC’s, teacher recs) it will be difficult to get in
I really can’t tell based on this little information
The AI is not a meaningful statistic. The Ivy League is an athletic conference, and the AI supposedly defines the minimum standards for admitting an athletic prospect. I guess it can determine some scholarship awards at other colleges. The most it can do is demonstrate that you meet basic academic qualifications, but admissions officers from several Ivy League colleges have stated repeatedly that the overwhelming majority of applicants are academically qualified, but will be rejected.
@woogzmama I have very high stellar ECs. I have a recommendation letter by a harvard, stanford, MIT professor. I just want to know at what ivies am i academically qualified. Please guide me through this
@jainul98 I didn’t even know what “academic index” is. Had to look it up.
That said, one number is certainly not enough info. You should post more info here.
Also, I had a rec letter from a former Caltech professor and still got rejected by Caltech - admissions is very competitive.
