Chances at Ivys and Good schools

Hello everyone, just got deferred from Brown ED, and i was wondering about my chances at some RD schools, and maybe suggestions about my college list?

Stats:

Sat I: 2300 ( 800 CR, 770 M, 730 W)
SAT II: 800 Biology, 790 History, 760 Math IIc
AP: 2 5s on USH and Bio
Senior year: hardest possible schedule, 5 APs
Rank: School does not rank, top 5% though, a good small public school in NY

ECs: varsity soccer Captain with tons of awards (all conference, 2nd team all state, ect ect not a recruit though), piano for 11 years, a few awards, a few other small clubs

Awards: national merit commended, NHS, renselaer medal

Schools:

Columbia
Amherst
Williams
Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Johns Hopkins
University of Chicago
Dartmouth
NYU Stern

You have great test scores, rank in class, and academic background. However, when it comes to schools like Harvard, Yale Columbia, you can expect that from most of the students applying. You have to set yourself apart from the rest by having some sort of a hook to make your application stand out from the other 10,000 2300s applying.

For you, sports may be the way to go if you are getting recruited, otherwise, piano might be the best shot. It is up to you. What do you think will wow the admissions people the most?

i would say the following for your list:

Columbia- reach
Amherst- reach
Williams- reach
Harvard-reach
Yale- reach
Princeton- reach
Johns Hopkins- match/reach
University of Chicago- match/reach
Dartmouth- reach
NYU Stern- reach

You should get at least one safety school to add to the list

Stern a reach but Hopkins a match? Ummmm, ok. Based on your stats you have a good chance at all those schools. Perhaps you should ask Brown why you were deferred, to tweak your other apps.

bump…any more opinions?

Reach
Harvard
Yale
Princeton

Slight Reach
Columbia
Amherst
Williams
Dartmouth

Slight Reach/ High Match
Johns Hopkins
University of Chicago
NYU Stern

Overall great list, I might add Emory and Middlebury to be on the safe side as matches.

I havent heard a single person get in to Brown ED yet. Your scores are great, and with as many schools as you are applying to you should get into atleast a few, however you should still add some quality safeties so you dont have to worry to much.

my school…8 out of 10 brown ED got in
