Thoughts?
Do I have a shot at MIT - Also, please let me know if you think another school is a better fit.

Once you hit Ivy Caliber or high level school, grades aren’t the only thing that matter. You need to show them interest in Eng. by doing an internship in that field, or doing prestigious summer science camps. I would apply still. If i were you, I would find some internship position for the school year, that fits your schedule. That would help a little bit. But based on academics and tests, you did your job as a student. may i suggest applying ED. think about Cornell as well. and berkley as a match. also put UT-Austin and Illinois as your safeties.

chance me as well…thanks in advance!

Your grades and tests put you in the range, certainly…looks like you have good extracurriculars too…you have as good a chance as anybody

If you’re applying EA to MIT, you should think about doing EA for caltech, also

Consider Stanford (another top engineering program, obviously), then for some more matches/safeties, maybe UMich, UMinnesota, Rice…

I just went to University of Colorado - Boulder for an engineering camp, and it seemed very good, with an amazing location and more reasonable cost than the higher-ranked schools; Boulder is known as a party school, but their engineering program is very highly thought of, with a lot of funding and research opportunities, along with being heavily involved with Engineers Without Borders

Finally another double reed player!!! (I play oboe.) Your stats are quite impressive as are your ECs. I think you have a very good chance at MIT but is is very difficult to say for sure. Good luck!!!

“Aced” the regents exam. That made me smile. It’d be embarrassing to apply to MIT with a score below a 98 on the chem regents exam. Go to [College Search - Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT - At a Glance](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board) - that should give you an idea of your chances ;)
