Chances at MIT; nothing outstanding

Hi, what are my chances at MIT, I know it’s too late to do anything. I’ve also applied to Swarthmore, UPenn, Brown, and Amherst. I feel like I’m academically competitive, but I don’t have strong extracurriculars. What do you think?

MIT: reach (no significant ECs, no visible passion for science/math/etc.)

MIT seems to love great, creative essays. Let’s face it, if you were them wouldn’t you seek creative math minds???

Based on people I know and comments on this site, I think if you have the stats, and yours look fine (GPA is weakness) a great essay can get you in the door…

i think that you have a decent shot at all the schools you applied to. they’re all top elite colleges though. i don’t think you’re “in” at any of the schools, but i think that you’ll do well. its just that your ECs are weak.

hmmm. im looking for a passion in math to “qualify” for mit, but i dont see one…
