all i've got are my good junior grades, great recommendations, good SAT II scores and the fact that i'm an immigrant of 4 1/2 yrs. I feel like vomitting.

forgot to add. i did well on PSAT's and was sent a letter. forgot what it was, as did not really care.

You have a good chance at getting into Carnegie Mellon & NYU and maybe Johns Hopkins. As for MIT, UVa, Georgetown & UPenn, you're reaching unless you raise your grades and SAT scores. Nonetheless, I know that UVa looks at the whole student rather than just one's raw scores. The fact that you're IB is good. So if you write really awesome essays and have superb recommendations, UVa might give you a chance.

Don't vomit. I'm sure you'll end up in a great school.

thanks for the reply - i think you're right, too. except, georgetown and UVA aren't really hard schools, maybe it seems that way bc i live in VA. my top choice would be jhu. beautiful campus, really.

this is off topic but i thought brooklyn was FROM brooklyn. LOL ok sorry

heh. i do get that sometimes

Yeah, I thought you were from Brooklyn too. In-state UVa would be a match for you. Good luck w/ Johns Hopkins.
