<p>What are my chances at Nyu Stern With the following criteria:</p>
<p>Sat: 790M 710CR 700W
SatII:Math2: 780 Bio:730
UW gpa: 3.6 (i go to a very hard private school)
Hooks: African American Male, Sister attends Nyu and parent on the faculty(unpaid)</p>
<p>AP: 4 US History, 5 Environmental Science
I have taken many honors classes and am currently taking 4 AP classes. </p>
<p>Extracurriculars:
- Key Club 4 years (Projects Chair)
- Literary Magazine 2 years (Founder/Treasurer)
- Botanical Garden (Intern)
- helped build a model of a solar still. The solar still is currently patent pending.
- Cross country varsity 2 years
- Fencing varsity 2 years
- Envirothon Team
- environmental club
- School garden and greenhouse upkeep

Chances please (for ED I)</p>
<p>I’d say your chances are pretty good, especially for ED I. Your SAT & SAT II scores are decent, and if your GPA is considered good for your school, I’d say that you don’t have much of a problem on the numbers side. </p>
<p>It helps a lot that your sister goes there and that you are considered a minority student. You have a good balance of ECs as well. If the teacher who wrote your rec wrote you a focused, comprehensive review with a specific focus on NYU Stern, then I’d say you have a great chance! I was accepted this year as well.</p>

<p>Stern is tough, but you’ve got what looks to be a fantastic application. The ED helps and your SAT is solid. GPA is just a tad low, but given as you’re at a tough school, and everything else on your app is great, I’d say it’s a solid match; well done!</p>
