D has 1300 SAT (600M, 700V), 29 ACT, 3.6 weighted GPA, 2 APs, lots of honors classes, top 25%, probable National Merit Semi, few ECs but works 12 hrs/wk at library, will probably have decent recs and essays, and is legacy at Case. Can anyone rate her chances for OSU, UMD, CWRU, UAZ?

Arizona for sure. In fact, great chances for all the schools. Arizona tells you your answer early and it is an easy application. Apply early, get in early, and then relax while you await your other acceptances.

Oh State is well known for accepting students who qualify academically(those who completed high school) and thugs that can play football.
While most anyone can be admitted there, it still takes a good student to graduate. They have the advantage of name recognition when it comes to the working world.
They have other reputations, too, some good and some bad, but your question is admission and that should be no problem.

Any thoughts about U Maryland College Park or Case Western? They have lower acceptance rates I think.

These are all very easy schools to get into, your kid is in at all of them. OSU might give money.

You could aim higher, places like Wisconsin and Illinois, are much more in line with your daughters stats.

By the way, I live near OSU. It is seriously the worst school, in terms of student body, campus, size, etc that I have ever seen by a landslide.
