Essays - Should be very good. Will spend a lot of time on them.

“Penn” typically refers to the “University of” in Philadelphia.

uhm… ok. thanks?

University of Pennsylvania (Penn) =/= Penn State

well me making a post on the penn state thread… would logically indicate that im talking about “penn state”

Well logically, a person asking info about a potential college would include the name of that potential college in the subject line, not the name of another close by, and often confused with university.

Now going back to chancing you:

You look solid for UP. PSU doesn’t look at SAT 2s and essays only will be looked at if you are planning on applying to the Schreyer Honors College.

http://admissions.psu.edu/info/counselors/bubble_chart06.pdf</a>

You can chance yourself here.

ughh… according to this chart you need at least a 93-94 gpa… unless u have 2100+ sat’s then you can get in with a 90. wow

PSU looks at weighted GPA not unweighted.

That ‘bubble chart’ grid giving chances is from 2006, I believe. It was certainly not representative of this year, but every year is different. As said before, you only know if you try and apply–My first impression would be that you have a fairly good shot. ECs don’t really matter, but your SATs are good for PSU, and weighted grades in the ballpark
