Chances at some schools and idea of others?

<p>I want to enroll in Classical studies as i love Latin and want to continue it… but my other ideas are sports business and pre-med which i might want to change to…</p>

<p>I am thinking about a relatively small school with a good chance to study abroad or get some fellowships to go to other countries to do some studying…</p>

<p>So far the schools i am thinking of are</p>

<p>Fordham University
Emory University
Stanford University
Dartmouth University</p>

<p>I am looking for more schools and just expanding my horizon…</p>

<p>Here is my resume so far:</p>

<li><p>Go to the Bronx High School of Science (specialized High School in New York)</p></li>
<li><p>Have a 94.28 average unweighted</p></li>
<li><p>Taken 1 AP test (AP World History = 5) and am taking AP US History now</p></li>
<li><p>Honors English (2 years now)
Honors Chemistry
Honors Physics</p></li>
<li><p>Taking 5 AP’s senior year:
AP Calculus AB
AP Latin
AP Literature
AP Chemistry
AP Government</p></li>
<li><p>My extra curriculars include:
History Club
Latin Club
Red Cross
Animal Room
Biology Squad (for 2 years)
Junior Intel projects (Physical Science)
hopefully will get a staff position for History, Latin, and Animal Room next year. </p></li>
<li><p>My honoraries…
National Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society
Arista Honor Society —> Applying for a VP position next year</p></li>
<li><p>Have taken 1 SAT two’s: Chemistry 680
Will take: SAT II Math, US History/World History</p></li>
<li><p>Have taken the SAT’s once: 1940 → 720 M, 670 W, 550 CR (did not study vocab so am retaking in June)…</p></li>

<p>Aiming for SAT’s around 2100-2200 and definitely think it is possible as i have been prepping myself for the SATs everyday now… Really working on limiting CR to 2 wrong per section… Math i know i can def get a 760 or higher… and Writing i can definitely improve on also</p>

<li><p>Have my rec’s and raves planned… know who i am getting them from</p></li>
<li><p>Oh and i am Oriental Asian (Chinese) and my family makes less than 30,000 a year so i am looking for scholarships</p></li>

<p>So what do you think my chances are?</p>

Emory- good fit
Stanford- big reach
Dartmouth- slight reach</p>

<p>i want to apply ED for Stanford University… i know it is a big reach but hey… might as well go for the top with great diversity and a great chance for me to succeed no matter my major</p>

Stanford -> gigantic reach - but definitely go for it

<p>I am definitely in range for Fordham, in range for Emory though my CR needs to go up and i am working on it :)</p>

<p>Stanford i need my Writing and CR to go up and i feel i can definitely make the upgrade…</p>

<p>and Darthmouth it’s the same thing. I think it’s definitely possible</p>
