<p>Hey my brother is currently applying to law school. He has a 3.3 gpa at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. He got a 162 on the lsat. He has a couple summers of experience in law firms under his belt, and some other decent ec’s, although I’m told they don’t matter as much.</p>
<p>Anyway, he really wants to go to Temple because he qualifies for in-state tuition, but he also liked Villanova. Does he have a solid chance at those schools? He also is applying to American, Catholic, Seton Hall, and Fordham</p>
<p>A lock at Seton Hall and Catholic, probably in everywhere else except Fordham.</p>
<p>His boards make him comparable to the average accepted Beasley student, so he should most likely get in.</p>
<p>I can’t imagine him getting rejected at any of those schools, especially coming from a good undergrad school like Michigan. MAYBE a waitlist at Fordham, but I would be mildly surprised if it wasn’t an outright acceptance.</p>
<p>A 3.3/162 puts him below the 25th percentile at Fordham in both respects. I think that’s clearly a longshot, BB’s previous statement (post #4) notwithstanding. I’ll be surprised to see him get so much as a waitlist from them.</p>
<p>His GPA is likely below median and his LSAT is likely a little above at Temple, so he’s got a solid shot, but “most likely in” is probably a little stronger than I’d have worded it. Similar at Seton Hall and American – for both of those, he’s got an acceptable/high LSAT and an acceptable GPA. Nova looks like more of a reach, but not much more.</p>
<p>He should be fine for Catholic.</p>
