chances at top UCs maybe USC too?

Hey i was wondering what my chances are for the mid (sandiego) to top (berkeley, LA) UCs are and also maybe throw USC into the picture.

Im not going to add freshmen year because I dont think thats relevant. Im graduating highschool next year (june 09).

sophomore: two letters because its semester 1 and semester 2 (also i dont add - or + because i dont really know which are which)
honors physics B B
english 2: A A
spanish 3: A A
AP Calc AB: A A
AP Euro (fav class of alltime  B A
Video : A A
I got a 5 on both calc and euro that year.

junior:
AP calc BC: B B
english 3: A A
AP stat: B B
AP chem : B B
AP US: B C
honors spanish : B B
i think im going to get 5s on those 4 APs but im not sure as of yet. also my teachers wont be bumping my grades if i do get 5s so im stuck with tese grades.

the problem here is that colleges like improvement, but i de-proved like no other thats why i am a little worried.

Standardized Testing:
SAT 1: 2180 (just took yesterday hoping for 2300+)
SAT 2 math: 770
sat 2 chem takin in fall
sat 2 history takin in fall

EC Activities:
Track gong to be 4 years (2 varsity)
XC going to be 4 years (2 varsity)
Middleschool basketball coach
summer job at safeway

i sort of messed up junior year really badly, i dont think i am a dumb guy (i do good in standardized testing) its just that im reaally lazy and slack off too much.

I would say that if you can write a good essay and highlight your EC’s well, you’re in at all the UC’s EXCEPT Berkeley and UCLA.

Cal and LA are stiff and with those grades, I would say you have very little to no chance. I’m sorry but essentially, academic criterion are the primary factors for admissions at these schools and without extenuating circumstances, an average-relatively low SAT score, ordinary EC’s, you are outperformed by the thousands of straight A, high sat score California students. That’s just a reality unfortunately.

Good news is that you have a very good shot at Davis, SD, Irvine and other UC’s.
