Hi, Carnegie111:

Your UW GPA is quite low, but if you’re still so highly-ranked in comparison to your peers, Tufts will probably recognize that. Your ECs are nice but you don’t seem to have done any community service which is really important to Tufts (look at other threads where we talk about this). That being said, your involvement in local politics is impressive as are your film awards. I think you would have a 50/50 shot at Tufts, if you were to apply RD. Applying early would help you.

Best of luck!

I think your GPA and class rank might be a little low, but these might be offset by your excellent EC’s. I think admissions will be impressed by the awards for your films. What do you think you will major in at college?

Tufts has a great combined degree program with the School of the Museum of Fine Arts. They have some terrific film courses there.
