Chances at u of m, wustl, wharton?

<p>Hey everybody,</p>

<p>I am currently a freshman/sophomore at Michigan State, got stuck there cause all my applications to other top schools were sent really late last year. I’m considering U of M because it’s the nearest most prestigous school. WUSTL because I’ve only heard great things about it, and wharton because they accepted 5 of my high school friends and they’re all pulling my leg to apply for the heck of it.</p>

<p>my high school stats:</p>

<p>1940/2400 sat, 750/790 sat II (math ii and chem), 5 5 4 Ap’s (calc macro chem), 3.8 UW.</p>

<p>MSU stats (first semester):</p>

<p>3.9 GPA, honors college, dean’s list, IM soccer and football. </p>

<p>I’m guessing that U of M is a match, wustl is a slight reach, and wharton is a definite no.</p>

<p>I’d say what you have for each is on par - idk too much about wharton. But MSU in all regards is a very good school - what are you studying?</p>

<p>Accounting Information Systems. I am currently a Sophomore ( 14 AP credits, 14 first semester credits = sophomore status at MSU, however this was my first semester in college)</p>

<p>Edit: EC’s in High School weren’t that great…</p>

<p>In college I was in IM soccer and IM football, won first place in IM soccer if that matters.</p>

<p>you have very solid gpa’s and great sat 2 scores…however your sat I scores leave a bit to be desired and your severe lack of meaningful ec’s will hurt you…i think your analysis for the schools you have in the original post is about right</p>
