Initially, I was hoping to get into UCI, but after realizing my lack of academics and EC’s, I don’t think I really have a chance. This led me to aim for the lesser tier schools, (UCR,UCSC,UCM).

have you looked at cornell college? granted, its in iowa, but its got a great atmosphere and the “one course at a time” system really works for kids.

if youre looking bigger, id suggest state schools like wisconsin, michigan, or penn state.

I’m not really looking for school outside of California.

oh. well im not an expert in the UC system, except that they dont look at freshman grades which will help you. also have you looked at pitzer? or is that too small

well, as long as you have eligibility at the UCs, they guarantee a spot at one of the campuses, so you automatically in at one of those schools.

anyways i say you have a pretty good shot to get into UCR.
