Reach for sure. This year, it’s been pretty hard to get into UCSD. I know people with 4.0+ UC weighted GPAs that did not get in, so I’d it would be a pretty hard school to get into.

I got in with a 3.0 unweighted and a 3.3 UC gpa. So honestly, no matter what you should try to apply. You never know if you’ll get in.

Of course. Neither Oyama nor darkdude are trying to discourage the OP from applying. Merely pointing out that with those stats, it’ll be difficult. So be aware of the reality, and work harder to get those stats up. You still have one more year :P

I agree with what the others said, but I do think you have a decent chance. I had VERY similar stats (few ECs, 100 hours community service, 1920 SAT, 650 Math II) and I was accepted, not to mention to the hardest-to-get-into college and major (Muir and Bio).

Yeah, this year’s admittance for almost ALL UCs were amazingly difficult. A lot of people applied to UCs.

You can try to get some ECs. But from what I seen, this is a reach for you.

I got in with 1570 SAT :D
