Chances at UMich, Chicago, Brown?

I think all these schools (Michigan, Chicago, Brown) might be reaches for me, but I am applying as a transfer student from Arizona State in order to study Classics at one of these schools. Wat kind of a chance do I have at them? Here are my stats:

3.9 cumulative GPA at ASU
1460 SAT (730/730)
National Merit Scholar
AP Scholar w/ Distinction
National Latin Exam 3 time gold medalist
2 sport varsity captain (2 years both sport)
Co-Founder and charter member of School of Global Studies club at ASU.
Founder and Editor of high school newspaper
Mock Trial
Tour Guide
AYSO Volunteer Soccer Referee (over 200 hours community service)
President of Latin Club in high school.

i’d say a match for umich and chicago, and a reach for brown.

COME TO MICHIGAN!!!

Do you go to Michigan forgiven? Know anything about the Classics Dept?

i just transferred into michigan.

as for the classics dept, it’s supposedly ranked #5.
but anyways, they have 6 concentrations for undergrad:
-classical archaeology
-classical civilization
-classical languages and literature
-ancient greek
-latin
-modern greek

you should also PM one of the cc moderators, ‘Alexandre’.
he’ll provide with all the information you’d ever want to know about Umich.

“i’d say a match for umich and chicago, and a reach for brown.” -forgiven

Unless you’re implying that Brown is a reach for everybody, I don’t understand why a 3.9/1460 from a solid 4-year school is a “reach”. What exactly do you have to do to be a “match” at Brown?

Brown got extremely selective this year. ~60 students accepted out of 1200 applicants. That might be different this year; I know they were really short on space this cycle. Anyways, it is definetely not a backup.
