nyyben, after sophomore year is really too early to start “chance” threads. You need to do well in your Junior year and prepare well for your SAT’s. To seriously consider a school like WashU, your SAT’s are going to have to be significantly higher than your PSATs, particularly your math and writing scores. Good Luck!

mmmm washu is pretty much the randomest school in picking thier admitted students. i no ppl w/2300’s and 34’s that have been rejected while i got a 32 and got in. but i’m not gonna lie, the b’s are gonna hurt and that c+ is def not fun but if u pull straight a’s junior year as well as 1st semester senior year it’d show an upward trend. have u thought about taking the act? the college board (minus ap euro and world) have not been nice to you.

how has the college board not been nice to me? How is one C+ going to hurt my chances overall? It’s you, not u.

i didn’t say that one C+ was gonna hurt u, i said the B’s as well. and since i’ve already been ACCEPTED to washu, i think i’m allowed to say “u” if i feel like. and since “ur” the one asking, maybe “u” should take criticism a little better.

Maybe “u” should stop being so lazy and actually just type “you.” Is it really that difficult for “you” to do that?

Don’t worry about him. He just has a really bad attitude. You really should appriciate their remarks. If you don’t want to hear anything other than “you will definately get in”, then don’t make a chances thread.

Hey then y dont u stop using “w/” and just write with? if u really have problems with ppl writing “u” then u should never get on the internet ok. cuz i think 9/10 times ppl are gonna use “im speak”.

Do u correct teachers when they use abbreviations also?

Yes, I do.

Um…wow. You need to see a psychologist. You obviously are a perfectionist to an unheathly level.

Honestly, I’m not seeing it right now. You’re GPA is solid-don’t worry too much about the Calc grade. However, your test scores are WAY out of even the lower end.

Only with MAJOR SAT Prep do I see you hitting 2100 and you DEFINITELY need to boost your SAT IIs to the 700+ range to find yourself comfortable with your application. Of course there many people are accepted with 2000 SATs and 650 SAT IIs, but they are definitely not as solid as those with 2100s and 720s.

Do yourself a favor and mad prep for your tests and look into some other more reachable “reach” schools. For the rest of the summer-SAT and IIs. Straight up.

i now see why you got that C+

No chance whatsoever.

I feel like the last thing WashU needs to increase its diversity is a white kid from Long Island. Don’t take it personally.

I would say that your chances are rather slim.

Great chance, your grades are fine, and if you don’t need to study for your SATs, just take the test and you’ll do great.
With your heavy load of EC and amazing awards, you’ll get into every school you apply to.
Don’t even worry about college anymore, you’re all set. If I were you I wouldn’t even bother to go to school anymore because I’ll get into any school I want.

So is it WashU or WashYou?

Advice to the OP: Don’t be such a d-ck. Especially to helpful undergrads in the college you’re applying to… excuse me. 2.
