Recs: My two favorite teachers happen to be the two best rec. writers at my school; supposedly, they write sparkling recs.
Essay: English is my fort

You’re a very strong candidate for any selective college — you have the grades, the test scores, the ECs and sounds like essays and recs will be excellent. Having said that, though, it all depends how many others like you with similar credentials will be applying for the same spot next year. Make sure you visit and interview and for the interview, have a clear picture about what it is about WashU and it’s programs (or location, student culture, activities, etc.) that attract you so you can talk persuasively about why you see it as a good fit for you. WashU has some great scholarship programs, but they’re very competitive. Leadership and community service is a big plus.

With your credentials (provided you demonstrate interest / apply for scholarships) you are very likely to get a scholarship. Try to get nominated for Danforth one (by your school) and apply for other ones (this also demonstrates high level of interest as some applications require considerable amount of work - separate essays, etc.).

You will probably get at least half-tuition merit scholarship.

I would also apply to Emory (also need to be nominated by high school for Emory scholars) - excellent school, closer to home (but WashU is better of course).

You definitely have a good chance at getting some sort of scholarship…you can never be too sure though, because from what I hear applying for scholarships is very competitive at WashU.
