Hey all. I know a chance thread is probably pretty futile considering the decision for Wesleyan is two days away, but I just want to gauge if Wesleyan is a match or reach for me.

I sent an email update to one of Wesleyan’s admissions officers, although he didn’t respond so I’m not sure if any of the update was included in my application. In the email I informed the officer that I was honored at a Gala for one of the organizations I traveled on a mission with and was presented with an award. I also gave a speech at the same event to the over 250 people attending, and I attached the speech in a word document so that the committee would consider that alongside everything else. I also noted that I would be traveling on a fifth medical mission to Quito, Ecuador, and after the mission I would climb Cotopaxi and raise funds for that as well. I have since climbed Cotopaxi, but the email didn’t say that I accomplished that feat. I also mentioned that I will attempt to climb Mt. Mckinley in Alaska in July.
Awards:
I won two Silver Keys in the scholastic art and writing awards, 2 honorable mentions
I came in top 10% of applicants of the prudential spirit of community awards
President’s Volunteer Service Award
Essays: Common app was about an emotional experience I had with a patient and her mother on one of the mission trips and how that experience shaped who I am today.
Supplement was about a conversation I had with my climbing guide on Mount Elbrus who happens to be a Russian climbing legend. During the conversation I asked him some questions about his previous climbing experience and he told me about a particularly disastrous ascent of K2 that ended in one of his expedition mates freezing to death.
