Chances at WUSTL-DBBS, Rockefeller, Weill Cornell, + others

I posted this in the big sticky thread, but I’ll post here to get some quicker feedback. BTW, I got an interview to UPenn-BGS:

Hello all. It’s been a while since I’ve been to CC, and I chose to make a new username. Though I googled my old name and found lots of cool posts! haha

Anyways, I’ll post my stats and stuff now.

Status: Senior; Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey - New Brunswick/Piscataway
GPA: 3.672/4.0 - Science/Non-science GPAs are within .05 of each other
GRE General: 560 V, 770 M, 5.0 writing (77%, 88%, 77% respectively)
GRE Subject (BioChem): 530, 53%

Research is strong. I’ve been at the same lab since freshman year, did two years as work study and then junior/senior years as undergraduate research. A’s on all three semester papers so far.
Good rec. letters - I’ve seen the one from my PI and it’s very good.

Perhaps not 100% important, but my ECs are good at Rutgers too. I’m President of the Busch Campus Council (one of the campus’ governing councils) and thus sit as a member that sets the agenda for our Student Assembly (which encompasses all of Rutgers). Also, I serve on a student leader cabinet with our VP for Student Affairs and discuss, over dinner, policy changes that affect students with various high administrators.

Additionally, I serve on the NJ Higher Education Student Assistance Authority - Student Advisory Committee, which is a committee of about 20 students from across NJ that advise on financial aid policy. ([HESAA - Members](http://www.hesaa.org/index.php?page=student-assistance-board))

I’ve applied to UPenn-BGS, UMich, WUSTL-DBBS, Weill Cornell, Rockefeller, Princeton, and Rutgers. I was offered an interview at UPenn-BGS, and was rejected at UMich, but that’s because one of my letter writers refused to submit online, so my app was incomplete…

I know my GRE Subject score is low, but I guess my statements and rec. letters were strong enough to get an interview at UPenn-BGS, which is a really good school.

Any thoughts on my chances at my other schools? My top three are WUSTL-DBBS, Rockefeller, and UPenn-BGS.

bump. Any thoughts, anyone??

Your ECs don’t matter. Your Subject test score is nothing short of horrible. I hope you didn’t submit that score cept to schools that require it.
GRE general scores are meh–good but nothing remotely impressive.

Your research experience seems solid. Your GPA is also solid. Since you made interviews at Penn, I wouldn’t be surprised if Weill Cornell and Rockefeller followed. Dunno bout the other ones.

Best of luck.
