Please tell me what kind of shot I have at these schools!

Your number stats are excellent, but I would be concerned with or up-play your EC's. Top colleges are not only looking for kids that can do bookwork but ones that make a difference in their community and are leaders.

Chances at:

Carnegie Mellon University...Very Good
Duke University...Good
Princeton University...Iffy
Rice University...Good
Stanford University...Okay
University of Chicago...Good
University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign...Excellent
University of Pennsylvania...Good
Vanderbilt University...Excellent
Yale University (EA)...Okay

Make sure you have excellent recommendations and essays. Just my 2 cents.

Both my essays will revolve around my experience at NASA SHARP (a selective and prestigious research program). I'm also sending a copy of my research abstract to the colleges that accept supplementary material (Yale and UChicago so far). I'm trying to make this a theme in my app.

Thanks for responses so far.

Bump, anyone else? Anyone know my chances of getting merit aid any of these schools (for the ones that offer it such as vandy, uchicago, rice, duke, cmu)?

hey athlon whats the name of ur school?

btw, any other thoughts guys? Please comment!
