african american female (junior)
-psat: m-66 v-72 w-66 (204)
-nationally ranked public high
-IB program (a county wide magnet, 10% admission)
GPA: about 3.75 uw, around 4.3? w (as of now. school includes all 4yrs)
ECS- omg do i have to list them all?

  • Art editor(1yr): nationally awarded Literary magazine
    -congressional art winner (hanging in congress)
    -forensics,(3yrs), (County) 1st place drama, 1st place chil lit, 1st prose, 5th info, 3rd drama
    -scholastic gold key, silver key
  • NHS
    -Prez “young black leaders,”
    -lead in play
    -other art awards/scolarships (totaling around $3000 worth)
  • candidate at “telluride” summer thing (probably get in)

<p>notice, it’s the “likely to get ins” that ask people about their chances. It’s as if they’re making fun of us regular people. The fact that she’s african american and a female increases her chances significantly beyond belief. Her ECs are pretty amazing.</p>

<p>I’m sorry, but she has no significant hook other than the color of her skin. </p>

<p>Is she disadvantaged in any other way? If she isn’t, then she better do something MAJOR within the next sixth months. Founding a club would be good. Also, where’s the community service? </p>

<p>PS, let this thread die and resurrect it when we seniors get our decisions. By then it’ll be painfully obvious what your sister’s chances are.</p>
