Chances based upon current grades

Hello!

I am currently a rising junior that goes to a religious private school. Based upon my current course grades and GPA, how do you think I stack up academically thus far?

GRADE 9:

Honors English: A
Honors French: A
Honors World History: A-
Honors Algebra II: B
Honors Biology: A
Physical Education: A
Fine Arts: A

GRADE 10:

AP English Language & Composition: A
Honors French: A
AP U.S. History: A-
Honors Geometry: B
Honors Chemistry: A
Physical Education: A
Fine Arts: A

Overall unweighted GPA: 3.81
Overall weighted GPA: 4.81

Additionally, I got a 4 on my AP English Language & Comp test this year.

Don’t worry too much about the weighted GPA. Schools nationally have different point systems. So just looking at your unweighted, you’re in the range.

It’s been said that junior year grades are the most important, so focus on that. Whatever math you’re taking next year, try to improve with a B+/A- to show academic growth.

And I’m sure you know this, but your SAT, SAT II, and AP scores are also important, as well as soft factors and ECs.

^^not very well.

Just a piece of advice: it’s not your numbers that’re gonna get you into college. Those are just the makeup you put on your application so you can impress the school on your first date. To make a relationship, or college acceptance, work, you need a personality and character that makes the school notice you among all the other bombshell blonds with 4.0’s, 7 APs, and 12 other ivy jocks hounding them. If your personality both meshes well with the school’s and impresses them, you have a great shot.

Finally, a question: If you go to a religious school, why haven’t you taken a religion class? I’m just curious.

Looks fine so far. Keep doing what you’re doing (or get straight As, those always look good), and don’t start fretting about college until at least next summer.

I have a whole slew of religious classes, I just didn’t put them here and they’re considered another GPA (I have a 4.0 religious GPA).
