Northwestern University
Ohio University Honors Tutorial College
Colgate
Case Western Reserve

BIG reach (as you already know…)

What about Northwestern?

For Northwestern it would depend a lot on their [annoying] essays (how creative/insightful you are). You would probably get a more reliable response on NW forum though…

You have great chances, especially as NHS pres, art club pres, HOBY rep, Boys’ state rep, XC awards, etc. Definitely apply–you have an excellent shot. Just cut out all of the fluff on your EC list…take a look at the Stanford app, they have VERY little space for Extracurric’s so you need to really crystallize that list.

your ECs are pretty decent.

go apply.

Give it a shot.

your ACT is low
Stanford- high reach
UNC- reach since you’re out of state
northwestern- low reach/ high match
ohio- match
colgate- slight reach
case western- safety
