I’ve visited every campus. So… what are my chances?

From my own experience (one child graduated from W&M, one who will graduate in 2015 from W&M and one who will graduate from UVA in 2014), I’d say you are competitive for both schools although having said that, my youngest graduated high school in 2011 so I haven’t paid as much attention to the stats of both schools in the past few years.

Sorry but I don’t know enough about Tufts and BC. Are you in a Catholic school?

Boston College: low reach
UVA: reach
William & Mary: reach
Tufts: high reach

But things that could help you are a high class rank and your very impressive extracurriculars. You also did very well on your subject tests and AP tests.

I’m at a public school, no religious affiliation. However, we are ranked in the top 10 public schools in the nation. We don’t do class rankings because of the insane competition.

I also applied to Indiana University (already accepted! ) and James Madison as my safety schools.

Congratulations on Indiana! They have a great theatre program!

Remember that an audition and interview is required for the theatre program at James Madison. All dates are in January/ February. You can go on the Theatre & Dance website to schedule an appointment. The program has about a 30% - 35% admit rate for theatre and about 12% - 15% admit rate for musical theatre (although it sounds like you are more interested in theatre). University academic admissions is separate from program admissions. I teach in musical theatre and theatre at JMU, PM me if you have any questions :-).

Congratulations again on Indiana!! Best of luck as you wait for your others decisions to come in.
