Hi, I’m interested in transferring when I’m a rising junior.
Stats
GPA (HS): 3.15 (Upward trend. Highly selective & rigorous private school.)
GPA (College): 3.6
SAT (CR+M): 1360
Current School: US News 60-70, though underrated.
Legacy @ Columbia.
Hook: I’m an internet entrepreneur (digital goods) with a business that has made >$250K over the past couple of years w/ a high profit margin. Revenue has been rising lately and I expect it’ll hit $400K total by the time I apply as a transfer student.
Target schools: Columbia, UPenn, Michigan (Ross), Cornell, Duke, UVA
I realize that my stats are a bit low, which is why I’ll stay at my current school for a longer period of time. I think my hook is pretty nice, and I’ll be able to talk about a variety of formative experiences in my essays.
Given all this, what are my chances at these schools?
