Suggestions on what i can do to better my chances?

on a scale of 1-10, maybe a 2.

SAT is pretty decent; ec’s are okay, but the GPA is the limiting factor (94/100 is about a 3.7 /4, if my math is right). that’s really not going to cut it.

One suggestion would be to start taking responsibility for your failing at math instead of blaming your “terrible” teacher.

ais4azn is a semi-■■■■■ - he shoots down everyone’s chance thread to boost his own self-esteem. I think you have a more than average chance of getting in. You seem to have a lot of leadership-related extracurriculars focused on business. Try to raise your GPA next semester/senior year and maybe retake the SAT. Write a beastly essay and I think you have a good shot.

But yea don’t blame the math teacher on your Common App.

Retake a 2320??? lol.

Yeah maybe - nothing stands out so need to get the normal stuff great.

^ Precisely.

Your grading system is F****** ********, why won’t they just stick to the normal 4.0 grading scale? At my school you would have like a 3.97

Wharton seems like a better fit.

nothing stands out unfortunately

Brand new to CC so have mercy (nah)

GPA: 4.0/4.6

Applied to RSI and got an incredible LOR from univ. physics prof. Will use that for apps.

What do you think? (I’ve seen the brute honesty on CC)

sbjdorlo, I think you have an excellent chance, mainly because you are Hispanic. I would say around 8/10/

Thanks for the encouragement. I wasn’t sure it was a realistic goal.

Firered 786, if URM was not in the picture (if I choose not to mention this), can I assume the stats look just like everyone else and the odds are greatly lowered?

sbj, I would say you have great chances regardless of your race.

^ Why the f**k wouldn’t you mention your ethnicity?

Ambivalence about using ethnicity to gain advantage in college admissions

Non association with Hispanic culture

With all due respect, you don’t need to chill with the Eses to bask in the perks of your constitutional rights :)

Ok, I think I get what you’re saying, Lobzz. :-)

If I were you, I wouldn’t mention being a URM because you are well qualified anyways. You can probably get in on your own merit.

Thank-you for the encouragement, Greed is Good. (Interesting name…)
