WILL CHANCE BACK if requested!

Just WHAT are my chances for full scholarship opportunities at a semi-decent (As in, rank 35-25ish) LAC? I think their academic environments are nicer than big state schools, because I absolutely adore small, intimate classes… I need to save my family money so I’m not $300,000 in the hole out of medical school.

Ethnicity: Asian Male

Family Income: $120,000. But we have church tithes (-$12,000), private school for my two sisters (-$16,000), a grandmother with cancer in China requiring extensive treatment. (-$20,000). So pretty poor in reality.

UW GPA: 3.96. Only 2 Bs were freshman year.
Rank: Around 31/670…
School: VERY competitive public school in Florida. Sent 8 to Duke last year.

Course Load: Almost the most rigorous possible.

IB Classes Taken (By end of senior year): (5.0 weight)
13.
Pre-IB Classes Taken: (4.5 weight)
10
AP Classes Taken: (5.0 weight)
1 (Online course)
Regular Classes Taken: (4.0 weight)
5… These were weightlifting, to which I’ve been committed to all the way to senior year. And Computer Science I and II, to which I showed dedication to through eventually taking AP Computer Science as an online course.

SAT Is:
I’ve only taken them once. This is single sitting.
800 CR, 780 M, 650 W
… I don’t know what I did on writing. I messed up the essay badly. (Got 77 on the PSAT)

SAT IIs:
Bio M: 800
Chem: 800
Literature: 780

APs: (So far…)
Computer Science A: 5
English Lit/Comp: 5 (Maybe offset my terrible SAT writing score?!)

IBs:
Math SL (Calculus): 6… I hate IAs so very much.
Spanish SL: 6

Awards:
Just one… sigh… National merit finalist (234 PSAT). I (possibly) might be a SIEMENs semi-finalist this year, though, because I have a good team and we’re working hard on some analyzing fractal growth models of competing bacterium project. (Lots of differential equations involved!)

Significant ECs:

Eagle Scout (Extremely large project, involved over $1300 funding and 200 hours of help)

500+ Hours of Community Service devoted to the church… (5 Mission trips to Katrina Relief and reconstructing the church sanctuary)

Weightlifting Team (3 years), Varsity and J/V.

14 Hour/Week Job throughout school year, from beginning of Junior Year to beginning of Senior Year. (The strain will be just too much for me to keep working there… sorry, it wasn’t worth it)

Audited (No credit) 4 college classes at my father’s institution. Calculus, Linux and C, Trigonometry, and Diff. Equations. I did all the work and did well on tests, but unfortunately, I lacked the foresight to actually REGISTER for them… shame. Burnt all my summers.

Essays: Hopefully stellar.
Recs: Good.

I have some more minor ECs, but insignificant, really. NHS, blabla, Mu Alpha Theta for 4 years.

What are my chances of receiving FULL RIDES at these LACs?:

Furman
Smith
Macalester
Mount Holyoke
Bryn Mawr

And maybe some higher up (but not tippy-top) LACs?:

Grinnell (50% accept rate :D)
Davidson

And if you’re generous, chance me on these schools… for even getting in:
Rice
Vandy
Duke
