<p>i have a 3.55 right now.
i had a really rough freshman year (3.3ish)
sophomore year was 3.8
junior year first semester was 3.8 but second semester dropped to 3.3 because i got 2 B’s and 1 C.</p>

<p>You seem to have a pretty decent set of extra-cirriculars, and you are coming from Hawaii which DOES help! They wont admit it, but having states outside the northeast helps. </p>

<p>Is your grading system at you school only to a 4.0? What I mean is do you get honors and AP grading up to a 5.0? An A in an AP class is a 4.8, or is it still a 4.0?? I ask because your GPA is a bit low, but depending on how your school grades it may be better than it looks. </p>

<p>I notice that you weren’t involved in most of your activity until your Junior Year. Since you’re a Senior right now, it’s mean that you have been active EC wise for a little bit over a year. That’s going to reflect poorly on your application. Admission will wonder: “Hmm…what did this applicant do for the first two years of her highschool.” Your SAT is very low, and your GPA is mediocre (for BC standard.) I checked into the claim that being Hawaii helps, and I find that it’s might not be so.
In 1995 there are 41 students (of the whole school) from Hawaii

As you can see, with the exception of this year, there is a general decline of students BC takes from Hawaii.</p>

My GPA for first semester senior year was 4.1 with one AP class.
That’s straight As with one weighted A.
My new SAT high is:

W640</p>

<p>I was very involved in tennis my frosh and sophomore year. I played varsity and community club which took up between 6-10 hours a week and 16-22 hours a week during the season.</p>

<p>nope…i am VERY european. but i don’t think i will be marking the ethnicity part on the common app anyways.</p>

BC is by farrr my first choice school. I would be willing to pay full tuition if I got in there. Is there anything else I can do to help improve my chances?</p>

<p>there are actually 20 students from Hawaii currently at BC, so its not as represented as about 20 other states.</p>
