I dont really have any ECs inside school, other than Orchestra since freshman year, which doesnt really matter that much.
I do most of my EC’s at my church-
Choir
Praise Team
Officer- jr. Sec- 9th, Sec- 11th, President-12th
Fundraisings for various mission trips, Medical trips, etc…
Went on a Mission Trip to Peru-9th grade
This summer i’m gonna be going to Korea for about 3 weeks, and i am gonna be volunteering at a hospital/ Shadowing an orthopedic surgeon for prob 40-70 hours, depending on the effects of Jetlag, visiting family, etc…
When i come back, I’m going to be working in NYC volunteering at hospitals/ possibly shadowing a dermotologist and a dentist, for approx. 50-75 hours.
During my senior year, i may possible be shadowing a cardiologist/volunteering at a hospital for 10-15 hours.

Recommendations:
Will probably be average to above-average

Colleges in no particular order:
Temple
PSU
UDelaware
Rutgers
UConn
BU or BC
NYU
Villanova
Drexel
Wheaton
UCI
UCD
UCSB
UCSD
UCR
UMaryland

As you can tell, a lot of my application is pretty weak, but i would really appreciate it if you could completely honest with this. I know that my stats are pretty bad, but I would rather have the truth than false hope. Also if you guys have any other college suggestion, please feel free to let me know. Thanks.

bumpity bump

O and for my courses next year, Anatomy may be replaced by AP Microecon, if my school has enough students for a class to be scheduled. Dunno if that changes anything.

Temple - Safe match
PSU - Safe match
UDelaware - Match
Rutgers - Match
UConn - Match
BU or BC - Reach

UCI/UCD/UCSB/UCSD/UCR - You need at least a 3.4 UC Weighted GPA for them to even consider OOS’s.
UMaryland - reach

I am new to this site - as of 10 minutes ago. My daughter is in the class of 2009 at a private Catholic school near Memphis Tn. She wants to go to college with a pre med program but does not want to go any further South (she was born in Calif and we moved down here from NJ) and I would like for her to be close. Any help with this geographic dilemma ?

Thanks to people who responded so far.

@Xcellerator- would the UCs be considered reaches, because according to my counselor, my UC GPA would be 3.4~3.6. Pretty mediocre, i know, but i would like the clearest view i can get before getting too far.
