Which schools are the best fits for me?
Would I benefit in retaking the SAT, or taking SAT subject tests?
Can you think of any schools that seem to fit for me, either in the Northeast or Midwest?
Thanks.

I think you have a good chance for most of those schools (UC and Northwestern may be short reaches). I don’t know you personally so I can’t say which school will best fit you. FWIW, I think your ACT score is relatively higher than your SAT I, but I need confirmation on this. And as long as you do well on the SAT Subject tests, they should benefit you.

i have pretty much the same test scores as you and your sat and act match up around the same score. you should also take some subject tests as many schools require them, that is unless you just decided to leave them out of this post. That being said, depaul unca and loyola are all safeties. UNC Notre Dame NYU matches. Northwestern and Chicago are both slight reaches. To suggest some schools though it would be good to post your intended major/interests

All seem like target schools. But if you live outside of NC, then actually the UNC’s might be a sliiiight reach as an OOS student.

I think you have a great chance at all of these schools, though Northwestern and UChicago will be slight reaches. You should consider taking an SAT II in Literature or something like that, and perhaps improve your SAT Scores slightly.
