You should be in.

You should be good man. I had very similar scores, a few more 5’s, almost same sat(2300), about same sat2’s (750-800), but a much lower gpa. When you get in, you’ll find that a lot of the admissions process depends on what high school or area you are from. Sounds like bs, but you’re a smart kid and you’ll be fine. Enjoy second semester.

thanks guys…
but i mean…
i have no sport, or instrument, or speech/debate, or anything significant extracurricular wise…
and it’s not like my academics are stellar either…
but thanksss
i only applied to la, berk, i, sd, and usc… but usc and ucla are the only practical options for me ahaha. hopefully i get into either!

With your stats, neither UCLA nor Berkeley should really care. I’m surprised you didn’t apply to Ivies. (Of course, it’s understandable that tuition would be crazy expensive and that many thrifty Asians would prefer state school.)

haha yupp. i live right in LA.
oh and for ucla the sat score that’s calculated is the one from one sitting right?
so i’d have a 2250…
any thoughts on this, and how it’ll effect my chances?

2250 is well above average. Stop worrying… there’s nothing you can do about it now. Please try to enjoy your last few months of high school; don’t spend every minute until (mid to late) March thinking about admission decisions! (I’m struggling with this myself :[)
