First Generation college student (if that is a hook for SU)
How much does Syracuse weigh freshman year? Because I was at a different school where I wasn’t really comfortable, so my grades suffered a bit.</p>

<p>GPA looks to be a bit above-average, SAT is averageish, and ECs are very nice - id say, 80-85% I suppose</p>

<p>SU loves first-gen; freshman year isnt weighted very heavily by any colleges (perhaps except ivies, where the competition is fierce). Still, it isn’t low enough to have to bother justifying it, I dont think, so don’t worry about it being an issue</p>
