My school does not factor in my grades from my old school freshman year, which were better than my soph year grades as I transferred schools and had a bit of an adjustment period. My GPA is probably about a 3.8 UW from soph & junior year.
I’m interested in several pretty prestigious women’s colleges, but no Ivies. Potential humanities, media studies/communications, or social science major. Chances for schools like American, BU, Grinnell, Scripps, Smith, & Wellesley? Female student at a Catholic high school in NJ.
Courses:
Sophomore: APUSH 1, honors chemistry (should have been adv. honors but transfer messed that up), advanced honors English, honors precalc, Spanish 1 honors (I’m also a year behind in Spanish because of the transfer)
Junior: APUSH 2 (it’s a two-year course for us), AP lang, AP Physics 1, honors calc, Spanish 2 honors, business
Senior: AP gov/pol, AP statistics, AP environmental science, AP lit, either honors or AP psychology depending on whether I want to take a second virtual course
Test scores- may not be finished testing:
ACT 32 with 36 and 35 in English and reading
SAT I: 1410, still waiting on second set of scores but 730 English/Reading, 680 Math
SAT IIs: taking Literature, US History, Math 2
APs: haven’t gotten back results yet
Extracurriculars:
Voice lessons 4 years
Theatre 4 years in and out of school, several hundred hours per year, 9 total productions at school and asked to be assistant music director senior year; honor bar member of National Thespian Society
Internship at local newspaper senior year
Member of peer ministry
Counselor-in-training/counselor at sleepaway YMCA summer camp (received special recognition)
Volunteering in off season at said YMCA camp (over 150 hours so far)
Member of executive board for school Operation Smile club junior and senior year
In the process of founding a feminism/women’s rights advocacy/nonprofit club at my parochial school for senior year
Tutoring peer students in Algebra 1 & 2, 1 hour per week

Best score on school-wide English Olympiad, top 10 scorers on physics Olympiad
Youth member of the year at YMCA camp for volunteering
National Spanish Exam medalist: gold medalist on Spanish 1 exam sophomore year, silver on Spanish 2 junior year
National Honor Society junior and senior year
I also participated in field hockey at my old school freshman & soph year, varsity lacrosse soph year, STEM tutoring at an elementary school soph year, and forensics junior year, but am not currently involved in those activities anymore.
